From Holderbank over the Roggenschnarz to Egerkingen.
From the village center of Holderbank (post bus stop), head towards Roggen. Here you have a magnificent view of Balsthal and the Thal valley! On the Hauensteinmatt plateau, we come to striking beech trees and marvel at the "Baum power station" Further east and then northwards, we reach the toothwort beech forest and then the Roggenschnarz, the highest point of the hike. Now down the steps towards Tiefmatt and over the ridge with various inviting viewpoints to Schlosshöchi with a view of Alt-Bechburg Castle. This is followed by the descent to the "Blüemlismatt" restaurant with its beautiful terrace and tempting refreshments. From the northern edge of Egerkingen, head straight to the railroad station.
The trail is signposted throughout.
